@jason.vanruler: Opening up to someone and being met with defensiveness or rejection can make you question whether vulnerability is even worth it. Many people stop sharing not because vulnerability is wrong, but because they shared it with someone who didn’t know how to hold it. The real problem often isn’t that you opened up. It’s that the person you chose didn’t have the emotional capacity to meet you there. What to Do About It: Be more selective about who gets access to your deeper thoughts and feelings. Look for people who listen without interrupting, show curiosity instead of judgment, and respond with care instead of control. Vulnerability works best when it’s shared with people who have shown they can handle it. Start there and your conversations will begin to feel safer and more connecting. There’s a pattern to how you communicate. Comment “PATHS” and I’ll show you yours. #rulesofconnection #healthyrelationships #communicationmatters
