I know it's adapted but I really want Eloise's bridgerton story to be a "the one that got away". she loved this version of her with him and when they separated it made her yearn for this type of love. she searched and searched but never saw it anyone in high society. ends up settling with another guy for money and security. she likes her husband but she loved Theo. then one day when they're older, they meet at a bookshop from a different town. he owns it and she never knew. he tells her a story about this girl he met before that loved books but never saw her because he was young and stupid and ruined it. then he meets her family and she meets his. they part ways and that's it. they reminisce something that could have been. they're each other's "the one that got away". I've always felt like out of all the bridgerton, Eloise would be the one settling for marriage because shes the type thats not necessarily looking for love but when she does, she really does. I've watched her story with Theo and idk for some reason this is her love story. someone that just sees her and matches her energy. that's just me tho.
