SMBC, donor, my daughter recently graduated from a top college, has a great job she loves in OC CA. Left me behind in MA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa ‘24. Did amazing in HS. Enjoyed summer camp every summer. Has amazing friends. She was raised in tight communities with some extended family (not much support from them though). Very well adjusted. Now has a great boyfriend to boot. Things worked out great for us. Tip: build a strong support network. It’s a wonderful journey. Best of luck.

Hi! I’m also a single mama that used a donor. I always knew I wanted to be a mom but waiting for the “right time” or to be in a relationship wasn’t going to work for me. My son is now two, and we are thriving.

I also took this journey and am a solo mom by choice, my son is 4 and a half and the biggest blessing this life has ever given me. I couldn't wait for Mr Right to make me a mum, so I took control of my own life and made myself a mom, best decision ever. I read books and have age appropriate books and convos with my son about being a donor child, he will grow up knowing who he is and where he came from.
