@laboratory321: Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) in action! AAS is a highly sensitive analytical technique used to detect and quantify trace metals such as lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury in biological, environmental, and food samples. The principle is based on the absorption of element-specific wavelengths of light by free ground-state atoms generated in a flame or graphite furnace. The decrease in light intensity is measured and, according to the Beer–Lambert law, is directly proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample. #lablife #Biotechnology #MLS
