Hi, we’re The Young Fam. 🤍 But before the videos, before social media, and before hundreds of thousands of people started following our journey, we were just two people building a life together. I’m Carrie, and this is my husband, Martevious. We’ve been married for almost 10 years 🥰 the night we met, he told his best friend he wanted to marry me. Then I popped out 5 kids in 6 years 🤣 But our story hasn’t always been easy. After having our twins, I had a near death experienced that changed everything. I suffered a massive hemorrhage, lost almost 75% of my blood, underwent emergency surgery, battled blood clots, a bowel obstruction, and a mini stroke. There were moments when our family wasn’t sure what the future would look like. Recovery took almost a year, and it completely changed my perspective on life. That season taught us something we’ll never forget: tomorrow isn’t promised. What you see online is only a small glimpse of our life. Like most people, we tend to share the highlight reel—the vacations, the big milestones, the exciting moments, and the memories we want to hold onto forever. But behind those posts are hard conversations, parenting struggles, mistakes, disappointments, and seasons that have tested us more than we ever expected. Some days we feel like we’ve got it all figured out. Other days we’re surviving on Jesus and coffee. At the end of the day, we’re just a family trying our best to raise good humans, love each other well, and make the most of the time we’ve been given. We don’t share because our life is perfect. We share because life is precious. If there’s one thing I hope people take away from my page, it’s this: don’t wait for the perfect moment to enjoy your life. Love your people. Take the trip.
