I don't agree with her. That is the mother of his kid and that's a good man that will never let them go without. Plus maybe she has more time to prioritize her son. My husband and I talked about it and he said he would pay my rent for our kids if we didn't work out. We want our kids to be homeschooled so.

if he takes the child, now he's gotta arrange childcare, activities, meals, appointments, etc. things moms time is already budgeted for. I see both sides, but if he has a demanding or inflexible job, taking the child instead of paying the rent could cost him (them if they live together) their living situation as well. co parenting is about what's best for the child, but that doesn't mean the parents can't mutually agree on what protects both of them in caring for that child as well. he has a situation that works for the child. He's protecting the child and the lifestyle of both the involved parents as well. that's a solid man imo

If he has the money to help, I don’t see the issue. It says that’s his girlfriend, not his wife. If she was married to him, I’d say he should be discussing it with her beforehand, but if he can provide the help to his kid’s mom while she’s going through difficulties without putting his own expenses at risk, that’s his prerogative. Not everyone has a bad relationship with their ex.

depends on her situation and as long as it doesn’t become a habit I don’t have a problem and also if we need to step in and look after our child while she gets back on track and not change the child routine and help with resources. Sometimes it takes a village. This is me 💜
