@midsizeasianqueen: Heading to Asia now and preparing for family body shaming. Will I be told I've gotten fatter? I'd be prettier if I lost weight? I'm too tan? My face is too big? Or will I also be reminded I should be having kids? Apparently the only thing going for me is my double eyelid and that when I was young I was so pale and pretty lol Fortunately this visit is primarily for sightseeing with a group so I actually won't be around them much. But even not with family, I see those who are raised in Asia, even around my age, comment on bodies. A video of myself performing kpop got fat shamed by someone I just met lol and I was just trying to show I dance kpop after they shared their kpop dancing Well - if my body is on their minds - they just making me iconic by mistake #bodyconfidence #bodypositivity #fatasian
In China, men are 41.1% overweight or obese , but women gets more criticized 😭

kumo :
i love your self confidence ! its something that i need to be stronger in and not think too much about what other people think ! asian families can be pretty brutal when talking about ones appearance esp my filipino family. ive been told sometimes by my grandparents that ive been getting bigger but then they tell me to eat more during dinner time, kinda crazy. seeing your posts and other people who are my body type gives me the smallest bit of confidence that continues to grow with every post i see ! keep doing what you do and continue loving yourself !
