As an oldest daughter in her 20s this is basically my convo with my dad when I was a teenager. My dad was silent the entire holiday & try to help out a bit. Fortunately now he's helping doing the chores without anybody telling him bcs there's already a lists of what to do. Guess who wrote that long lists every year during every occasions/celebrations? Yep, me & he knows he cannot nego with me. If my mom the one who wrote it, he will try to nego on doing the least & easiest chore
