I just wish philosophy wasn’t so esoteric as a subject, but I do like Alex.

I love Alex. He's not infallible obviously. But I think he's a great mind in the community.

I love how he debates. I have been inspired by him to debate and structure my arguments better because of him.

Alex entertains far too many nonsensical arguments that aren't remotely rational or logical or honest...his character is noticeably top notch tho

Why does it take longer than two pages to response to the Thomas Aquinas's five ways? can't someone respond to the important parts or summarize the response?

character wise YES! but he’s trained himself into a mode of relentless critique that he himself has compared to a knife or chisel tearing away at false things , but the chisel is supposed to be in the service of making sculpture, not just cutting. The sculpture never quite arrives! after a while is beyond tiring … He finds the contradictions, holds them up, and then … then it is nothing

I can’t say I’m interested in his religious debates. I’m not religious nor do I care about not believing in it but I enjoy the conversation and debates he has. It’s nice to learn or at least experience a different field

Yeah he’s been a great influence on athiesm as a whole especially online, making sure people both understand athiesm and also what athiests should wear on their sleeves when it comes to certainty and epistemic limitations

Why do people gloss over Daniel Dennett when talking about the new atheists? He was an exceptional philosopher and used way better philosophical arguments than Alex. Alex is good, but he's not Dennett.

What's wrong with debunking Aquinas in two pages? Lame.

He’s clearly very intelligent, but I think his youth shows, at times. He seems to give far too much credence to each new philosophical strand he dives into so that, depending on where he is on his learning journey, his position can be quite frustrating to listen to in debates.
