the cop is an asshole for saying that to this kid, they were both victims. had he not left then they would have a murder and a rape case to solve, he did the best thing left and called the cops asap. Life isn't a movie nor a comic book where the good guys just happen to have this magical inner strength and everything goes sandy and saves the girl. Life in the hood is tough. A guy tried to defend his chick right around the block where I live, they popped 2 on his chest and he died in her arms. A coward would run and keep his mouth shut, trying to avoid angering those bastards. A smart guy would get out of the situation and get help as fast as he could .....he did everything right.
