Maybe the man has lost his licence to drive because he's a sh1t driver. Maybe he doesn't drive because he has a medical condition that means it's not safe for him to drive. Maybe he isn't driving because he's caused several accidents and his partner has had none. I mean, insurance companies do make men pay more because men are more likely to cause serious accidents. Maybe she's driving because he's just finished a 12 hour shift and is exhausted. Fatigue is as bad as driving under the influence of alcohol. Or maybe she wants to drive because she enjoys it and he has no issues with that because it doesn't matter.
