Now I’ve learned that a clean scalp and healthy hair can absolutely coexist. Our scalp is skin. Just like we cleanse our face and body, our scalp benefits from regular cleansing too. When buildup from sweat, oils, products, and dead skin sits on the scalp for long periods, it can contribute to: • Itching and irritation • Excess flakes and buildup • Unpleasant odor • Product not absorbing as well • Hair looking dull or feeling weighed down • A less comfortable scalp environment overall This doesn’t mean everyone needs to wash their hair weekly.
