@casataupe: My client came to me knowing exactly what he wanted: GREY. Grey on grey on grey. He was actually about to pair it all with light floors too, which is a great instinct but could’ve turned out really cold and kind of generic. That’s where I came in. How it all came together: Demo happened, we all know how that goes. Then we went stone shopping together, I took him around to different slab yards and we hand-picked every single piece. We landed on a natural stone, Grigio Magnifico. Natural stone is way more delicate and a lot more work, but nothing else looks quite like it. Got it delivered. Then came all the behind-the-scenes stuff… framing, plumbing, electrical, before anything pretty goes in. Cabinets went in next. And this is how it turned out: all dark, all drama, with gunmetal finishes for a little edge and warm wood floors so it never feels cold.
