Mine did that to me. He says he loves me but he cant do a relationship right now. After 4 years. I personally cant be just friends because I love him and have feelings for him. so I decided that it's best to cut the "friendship" off and just focus on me and if its meant to be, we will come back together

I told him that if he decides to end things I won't be staying friends with him.. that it isn't fair to me and how difficult it will be to move on if we stay friends. now he has a tendency to want to work things out all the time..

I tried staying friends with my avoidant ex. He said he still wanted to be a part of my life. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me, as I still wanted the relationship and jot the friendship. And he wanted the friendship and not the relationship. It was an impossible situation 🥺 And ultimately our “friendship” and contact died out 🥺💔
