In a way he is wrong in this. We all used to say this until we find out every Muslim is automatically in a sect. The moment u do ur Islam by using Hadith that he say he follows from the prophet then u are automatically in that sect. And remember the prophet said Muslims will split into sects and only one is accepted, definitely that only one is automatically a sect. Allah knows best

Non of the sect was ever mentioned but the prophet also talked about the Deen dividing into 73 sects and the only one which will be accepted in front of God will be the PPL following my(Prophet) way and Allah's. even though the prophet didn't mention any name but he clearly told us about this sect thing. and you can't be just a Muslim. you must belong to a particular sect to be able to be part of one of those sect the prophet talked about. I respect you a lot but this one di333 UTI ,with all due respect it doesn't make sense. Some sects are there that you(UTI) will never agree to pray with them because of how they perform their prayers but they are also Muslims...... if I get you well,you are indirectly telling us to come together as one muslim and forget about sect sect. but come to think of it,if the whole Muslims in the world came together as one body then the prophet will become a false prophet because he prophesied something and it didn't work out.
