Never doing this again, our university said that the evaluation is anonymous. But then for some reason our professor found out and gave us a really low grade (the highest even w/ having perfect quizzes etc only got a 92%), IN A MINOR SUBJECT BTW

Hey to the upcoming first year this upcoming school year. I highly suggest not doing this because this might risk your grade, especially there is some university that professor can see their students' evaluations. I once did this to one of my professors. At first my classmates don't have any problems with this professor because on prelims they are always in class, never late, and they always have a lesson despite the fact that this subject doesn't have an exam because it's a minor subject. But then when midterms come, they are often late, sometimes they don't show up and never do any lesson. Their excuse for why they are late is because they live 30-40 minutes away. It's funny because I have lots of classmates that live 2-3 hours away but still can show up on time to 8am class. Mind you, this class is only a one-hour class, and that professor is always 20-30 mins late. This is disrespectful to us students because one of our classmates was late because they lived far from our university, but to that professor, that reason is not valid, but when they did the same but more often, to them, that is a valid reason. No. In this subject I am always in class, I pass all the activities and PETA on time, and I have the highest grade, and it's uno. Because of what they did, my classmates often don't go to class because it's like a waste of time because we will go to class and our professor won't even show up, and our next class after that is at 11am. Because of this, I found out that the evaluation cannot be seen by our professors. I failed that professor and wrote a long paragraph about what is happening. Then finals came. When that professor saw me entering the classroom, they immediately said that I would be listed as absent even though I was just a few minutes late. But my other classmates, who are more late than me, are marked as present. Mind you, I am a scholar at our university. This scholarship is really useful to me because my parents will only pay around 5-6 thousand for my tuition fees. The grade that the professor gave me is a 0.01. Like, how did they get that grade? But when I DM them, they said that's the total. Like, how did 1.00 become 0.01? Mind you, i ask

as incoming 4th year do not do this if your campus or your university has a limited amount of teachers/professors specializing on your specific course. if you tried to get them removed it'll be difficult for some schools to find a new teacher for your course in the next semester. The first week of classes will have no teacher specializing in one subject from your course for the best give them constructive criticism, and what they could improve in the future.

from someone who knows the other side. no hindi siya super effective. may iba pang evaluation tulang ng sa dean at kung mataas siya dun kahit ih singko nyu pa walang mangyayare. mas mabuti kun marami karo at madadala nyu sa mas nakakataas pa sa department o kaya sa CHED mismo

plot twist: anonymous daw ang student's evaluation pero ang totoo nakikita talaga nila—LAHAT. Hindi naman sya dine-discourage ko kayo na mag evaluate kasi tama rin naman sinasabi nya. But evaluate with proper criticism, especially dun sa mga 'whys' bakit hindi deserving ng prof nyo yung position nya as instructor or prof. Kasi hindi lahat ng professionals ay professional mag-isip.
