I think it’s beautiful though. If the game was ridiculously easy it wouldn’t have the impact it does. You eventually grow through the difficulty like Henry would and the transformation feels like it actually has weight. I think KCD manages to capture something incredible with this

KCD1 treats you like the peasant you are. It’s up to no one else except Henry (aka YOU) to get better. That being said, once you’ve the training to learn Master Strike, the combat REALLY opens up and for a lot of people, that’s the moment the game clicks for them. No terribly hard to do, just got to do it.
