I walked away from my friendship, but I take some solace in that I tried to communicate with her multiple times. She would often get defensive, but then sometimes she would try. I don’t think it was her fault or mine, we just outgrew each other. In the beginning, there is always going to be a lot of defense, anger, sadness etc but then you hope each friend just makes peace with it in time.
