I’m all for asking for help when you need it but coming from experience if you need a go fund me for first year expenses then you can’t afford it in the long run. My pets and I got it through first year just fine but with emergencies and arising medical conditions the well slowly ran dry. And the last thing I would’ve done is ask for donations because it’s not on anyone else but me to take care of my pets expenses. I do often wonder if I’d be better off financially if I never got my pets, but I do know that knowing them I am the best one to own them and I love them and understand them very much.

Im a dog groomer, does that mean I can cut human hair? Absolutely not. No matter what your breeder says a doodle will have a mix of hair and fur, its a nightmare combination. If you are getting one please please please get a greyhound comb, it combs right to the skin and ensures no matts. Comb from the day you get the pup. Please book in with your groomer every 8-12 weeks. I completely understand you believe this is the right decision for your family, I live in Australia im not making any money off you but your breeder is, they do lie to sell puppies, take in everything they say but also educate yourself. Get a red poodle non shaved! Doodles will always be unethically bred and are bred for profit. Poodles literally act like doodles because doodles have the poodle in them. Sometimes the doodle doesn’t even look like the doodle (fading gene or longer hair.) Ethically bred poodles have health testing, breed for temperament, and if something happens and you cannot take care of the dog, they have a contract where you can return the dog OR rehome with permission to prevent dogs from going in shelters!

the im a hair stylist argument. Literally nothing to do with dog grooming. It’s completely different. If you need a go fund me for supplies for a dog, this might not be a good time to get a dog. Dogs are a bit expense
