@mckinnongalloway: At some point, life will hand you something you didn’t choose. When that happens, I think one of the most important things you can do is separate logic from emotion. Emotion is real. It’s valid. But in difficult moments, emotion often focuses on fear, uncertainty, and worst-case scenarios. Logic asks a different question: What do I know to be true? What can I control? What’s the next step? Every major challenge in my life, from surgeries to hearing loss to facial paralysis, came with fear. The fear never disappeared. I just learned not to let it make the decisions. Sometimes resilience isn’t about being fearless. It’s about letting logic lead while your emotions catch up.
