From 1976 to 1988, he was married to Christine Mullen, and together they had three children. But as Queen's success reached extraordinary heights, the pressures on his personal life grew, and the marriage eventually ended in separation. In 1986, Brian met actress Anita Dobson. She would become one of the most important people in his life and even inspired the Queen classic "I Want It All," released in 1989. As Brian later faced some of the darkest years of his life, Anita remained by his side, offering support and stability when he needed it most. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Brian battled severe depression. He later revealed that he had contemplated suicide as he struggled with the collapse of his first marriage, feelings of failure as a husband and father, and the heartbreaking losses of both Freddie Mercury and his father, Harold May. Through those difficult years, Anita's love and encouragement helped him find a way forward. What began as a friendship grew into a lasting partnership, and after many years together, they married on November 18, 2000.
