He added: “I almost started crying because how determined he was to save that boy’s life makes me so proud.” Donald Trump’s son, Eric, shared a video of the rescue on X, describing the teen as “truly the best of America” and calling for him to be awarded for his bravery. The US President later announced he was going to bring “this young heroic young man and his family to the White House, perhaps, the boy he saved, to give him a High Civilian Honour.” “Very brave, he deserves it,” Mr Trump wrote on X. Ryder’s mother has thanked supporters for praising her son but said he was just doing what he loves.
