absolutely! i feel like every time the fandom tries to talk about oikawa and kageyama’s abilities they always try to downplay the fact that kageyama has worked equally as hard. Oikawa is one of my top 3 characters, i love his development

Yes, but with talent there’s a limit, if you want to continue getting better you can’t just rely on talent, talent is a higher starting point than people without it, it’s not a limit it’s a starting point. Hard work doesn’t have a limit, the only limit you can reach is your perspective, a limit is not how hard your body can push, nor how strong you can be, or not how good your can get. It’s how you think. Talent isn’t something to be jealous of, it’s something to motivate you.

What you said in this video - about limiting your own abilities by trying to catch up to someone - is actually very true in COTE. Horikita limited her own ability and potential by trying to be like her brother. Now that Ayanokoji has switched classes, the only way Horikita can beat him is not by surpassing him in intelligence and physical abilities, but by drawing out her own innate talent - her leadership potential. Ayanokoji noticed her potential thanks to Manabu, and him leaving the class was basically to test her potential and to help her grow even more

This is applicable for everything in life! When it comes to sports specifically it’s a little different in the sense where at the highest level, everyone is “kageyama” even the role players. It’s most important to remember the mindset of oikawa can be applied to everything in life and in turn you can master any craft you choose!
