You don’t need to add calcium to an above ground pool or a pool with any liner for that matter. It doesn’t hurt, but not necessary. Calcium hardener is mostly used for plaster/concrete pools because if the hardness is low the water for eat away at the walls looking to get the calcium. Also- pool companies will sell you things you don’t need to make money. Get test strips and test for PH, Alkalinity, and Chlorine. That’s it

Yeah no we went a week with rain and storms weve only stocked our pool twice ans we was in the pool while raining. thats just way to much😂

Bringing your cya up to and keeping it at 50ppm to protect your chlorine. Then using liquid chlorine is the easiest way to sanitize and keep your water safe week to week. Lower cya levels will mean you spend more money on chlorine. Save the tabs for when you go on vacation. Skip granular chlorine because it either has cya in it or calcium raising your calcium hardness. Check out troublefreepool.com for more info
