I have a fairly decent knowledge of cars, but I acknowledge that a mechanic does know better at the end of the day. if I take it to him because I don't have time to do it myself, or because he can do it easier and faster than I can. I let there be a conversation instead of trying to tell him what I think is wrong with it. saves a lot of time and money that way

When it comes back…..says ever since you did the fans it’s still overheating. After a real diag……..customer needs a radiator, thermostat, water pump, timing belt and while the engine apart it’s going to need a head gasket, so your total now is $5,200 and 80 hours of labor…SHIP IT
