sure it sucks, but for me I know that some people can only make singles/don't have the time or money to make cuffs and that's ok! it's my gift to them, it's ok if I don't get something that's of equal value. at least that's how I try to view it :)

This is one of the reasons I actually stopped doing Kandi. I have tendon issues in my hands and wrists so I struggle to do much making them. And people like this have openly made fun of and threw away the ones I made.

I read through your comments and I understand that you’re saying this is a skit but even though it’s a joke some people may not know that and these perceptions are really harmful and can cause beginners to not want to trade or accept gifts. Just something to think about.

If it’s truly PLUR, you give with love and you’re happy with whatever you receive in return. This kind of reaction honestly makes me not want to trade because I wouldn’t want to be judged based on what I give back. Next time, I’ll just say I don’t have what someone is looking for rather than risk making anyone feel uncomfortable—or feeling uncomfortable myself.

The only time I was disappointed was when someone gave me one that literally had 4 beads and the word “yuh” on it 🤣 but it’s more ridiculous/funny then anything wasn’t actually upset over it

At Ren Faire people trinket trade. My son tried this year and there was a man i could tell was not pleased with his trade. He's just a kid, there just trinkets. We plan on making some for the next. Idc if I spend money and time on making something and get something that wasn't made. Its all in the fun and meeting people.
