You have inspired me with your videos how you just don’t address some of the comments. I have such a hard time with that. I get a lot of identity questions in real life. I’m not biracial I’m generationally mixed black white and Asian (not hispanic). I agree with the sentiment of not limiting.

I definitely gauge people before I tell them that I have been with my white husband for 26 years and I have biracial kids. They usually think a white man can't handle me, because I'm a strong black woman. I've had white women who are with black men make comments about white people. But it's usually a shock value when I say my husband is white. I definitely figure out the real from the fake before I tell them my family's dynamic.

I believe understand your perspective. If I can offer another outlook that you may or may not have already though about. For many that “wall” you described is out of protection. It’s not about simply not being open to befriending you or showing you kindness because they perceive you as white. Some white folks are ray-sist and some Black people feel it’s necessary to prepare for that possibility before opening up.
