Imagine a world where publishers just publish and nothing more... Make it so that like 10% goes to the publishers and 90% to the developers. Tf are publishers even doing? Uploading a file to steam and that's it work done... Let the creators take the revenue

Bandai Namco has global marketing and PR capabilities. FromSoftware only has has Japanese. The cost to hire or outsource that capability would negate any financial gain given how infrequently they release games.
