Saw something about the limits of imax roll means you can only shoot 3 minutes scenes, which should mean there are no long true imax one-takes

Everyone seems to forget lots of BVS was shot on 70mm and is actually shown in native 4:3 on the 4k Blu-ray. The only film to do so.

uhh, wasn’t sinners was shot on imax film rather than digital? because every single photo of that set either had a 65mm panavision film camera or the old IMAX film cameras and ryan coogler himself literally said they shot it entirely on film

The reason why most movies don’t use it is because IMAX cameras are expensive as hell. I was a camera op on a few films that used them in some scenes. Not only they’re loud they’re heavy and costly. Just to rent ours it cost 250k total.
