Me lowkey, even tho I know I have a place to go I know damn well when I move out I’m gonna have such a hard time paying for my own shit since I’m struggling to find a job that my parents will even ALLOW me to get for now when I have the time 😭

screw what everyone else says, best advice will ALWAYS be to work in hospitality more specifically a kitchen, you get free food which i had lived off of for months.

Welcome to capitalism where you’re more likely to get struck by lightning before earning a livable wage. The minimum wage should be around $66 an hour btw 🥰

my best advice is to open a seperate checking account JUST for bills. each paycheck i send half of the total balance of my bills to that account and any money leftover is free spending. easy visualizing! my bills are on autopay but it’s ok because i know there will always be money in that account.

hey girl I was an alcoholic and drug addict for years when I FIRST moved out. You got this it's hard but as long as you have a job and pay rent first you will always have a place to sleep

Working isnt even for us anymore. All of the money WE earn for ourselves just disappears because of overpriced bills we are forced to pay each month. And we are left with what a couple hundred dollars or less? That doesnt even last because the cost of food and everything else

I moved out last year, and I just wanna say you will be struggling at one point, but don’t let that completely crumble you almost everyone I knew the time I was struggling was ALSO struggling, so don’t blame it on yourself, blame it on the government and the president ! And remember to keep yourself stable when it comes to money (aka dollar stores, coupons, saving money!) always make sure you have money saved up, don’t use those savings!!

I moved out at 19 and it’s been really difficult but the best decision I’ve made even when you struggle it’ll be worth it you get to find out who you really are

The struggle kinda keeps you alive and going, I was doing really well the first month and then I lost my job and almost lost EVERYTHING with it… 3 years later and it’s really a breeze now. Best advice, the second you have a general idea in the flow of money you’ll have, make a very detailed budget and STICK TO IT! At least for a year, no going over designated totals unless literally necessary, this helped me make a savings account that had some substance. Good luck !
