as an employee I can explain! okay so, a lot of kids were using mom and dads cards to buy gift cards (for Roblox or playstation or things like that) and then the parents would see the charges and report as fraudulent. Now every charge they saw took money out of the corporation bc we had to refund it back to them. well rather than put an age limit on the cards, they decided if you pay with cash you can't use anyone else's card also yes. we are not allowed to put a sign up. I tried to one night and it got taken down the next morning

I wasn’t able to buy a gift card with a debit card at Luckys. But a few months later I saw a woman do it in ahead of me 🤷🏻♀️

They stopped letting people buy gift cards with debit/credit cards in many stores years ago. You can thank credit cards thieves. They should have a sign though.

Security followed me around the whole store while I was filming and taking photos of the products on my phone. When I went to pay in line, the security guard went to stand in line, and when I paid for my items, they walked away. Shopping isn't fun anymore.
