I've been multiple times! It's definitely more of a party vibe on the weekends and summer will be busier any day of the week. Could you go right after Labor Day during the week? Tourism drops dramatically then and maybe your work won't have picked up that much that early?

Look up trains to San Diego from where you are. I think that when you love the hotel this much you will adapt. If that means a lot of room time then 🤷♀️Once you’re there I believe you will make yourself venture out! You can do this, make your dreams come true❤️

I live in SD. The Lafayette is a wonderful experience but I think you’d prefer a non-summer visit.

I just took the train from LA to San Diego and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Gorgeous ocean views, lots of space. Business class was only $55.

Born and raised in SD but haven’t had the news to stay in a hotel here. However there is a lot to do here. Crowds are avoidable.

San Diego is amazing! Lots of traffic between Orange County and SD depending on what time you are driving that stretch

Looked it up it’s definitely pricey I think you could go solo it’s known for a hipster vibe if your into that .have you ever thought of Yosemite it’s beautiful you could do that solo ,
