A 400 page book would barely cover what you'd need to know about the basics of building and tuning the 1911 pistol on the cover. This book might cover the bare bone basics of general gunsmithing and some of the required tools needed, but it not going to be an in-depth instruction on the skill. Crap, I spent more money on specialized tools and jigs on my first 1911 build than I spend on the entire first 1911 itself... and I'm still picking up more special tools just for the 1911 when I find them. And that's not counting the other tools and jigs for Glocks or ARs I've collectedover the years. But hey, if you like tools as much as firearms, then gunsmithing just might be the hobby for you... but you're also going to need more books on the topic than just this. This book might get you started in the direction but its not going to make you a gunsmith, just so you are aware.
