I got had a bronchial inflammation earlier this year and I believe it is because I was drilling/aggressively filing my nails without a mask. I do soft and hard gel nails at home.

Yup, this is how my acrylate allergy started. I now have it for life.. I wore gloves but didn't have an extractor for a long time and breathed in the dust. 😔

The problem is once the mask is removed during services, the airborne dust is breathed in. Better to use an air extractor or a 3-stage dust/fume recycle filter system, which also protects clients.

“Salon kid here”they get eventually a nail shop workers get a form of Coal Worker's Pneumoconiosis (more commonly known as Black Lung Disease), it is an occupational lung disease caused by inhaling coal or silica dust, which causes irreversible inflammation and scarring in the lung tissue. They usually pass younger or get s form of copd and they can barely breathe when they even walk
