@nataly.port: For years, my life revolved around my kids. School events. Sports. Family vacations. Weekends were always full. Then, little by little, everything changed. My kids grew up. Moved out. Started traveling with friends, partners, and families of their own. Which is exactly what I wanted for them. But suddenly I found myself with something I hadn’t had in years: Free weekends. At first, it sounded great. Then it felt a little strange. Most weekends looked exactly the same. Coffee. A few errands. Maybe dinner with a friend. Then back home. I kept telling myself I should travel more. But I never seemed to actually go. Traveling alone felt intimidating. And honestly, it didn’t sound like much fun. A few months ago, I found GoPlaces.club. It’s a community where people in a similar stage of life create and join destination groups, then start planning trips together. Not tours. Not travel packages. Just people who want to visit new places and meet new people along the way. I joined a Chicago weekend group. Then a New York group. Then a World Cup group. Now I’m even looking at a Europe trip later this year. What surprised me most was the group chats. Before anyone books anything, people start talking. Restaurants. Shows. Hotels. Ideas for the weekend. You get to know people before you ever arrive. Everyone books their own flights and accommodation. The trips aren’t organized for you. You organize them together. And that’s exactly what I like about it. The destination matters. But what really changed things for me was having something to look forward to again. New places. New experiences. New people. A reason to say yes to life instead of another weekend at home. Looking back, I wish I’d started years ago. Not because of the places I’ve visited. Because of how much bigger life feels when you have plans you’re excited about. If you’re an empty nester wondering what to do with all those free weekends, take a look at GoPlaces.club. That’s where I’m making my plans this summer.

I am Kevin, 63, widowed after 40 years married with two adult children on their own and an 18 month old granddaughter. I have been alone for over 3 years. This sounds like something I would enjoy. How do I contact someone for information?
