@magpiesoddities: Even after Big Mac got his cutie mark in performative lasso routine, he always promised ma and pa that it wouldn’t tear him away from the farm or his family, but as the years went on that promise became harder and harder to keep. Missing a competition to fix the broken apple cart, turning down impressive performance opportunities during Apple bucking season when he was needed most, or even being too tired to practice his routine after a long day in the fields, Big Mac realized he needed to make a choice. He couldn’t split his effort between his responsibilities and his true self any longer. And so, with his parents no longer there to ask forgiveness from, Big Mac sat beneath his mother’s pear tree, trying to build the courage to tell Granny and the other of his decision.
