Another factor in China’s situation right now is that a significant amount of girl babies were murdered during the one child policy. Everybody wanted a boy. Having children is NOT about just giving birth to them. They will be a lot of sacrifices to make and all burdens push to women. If parents can't even afford to care for themselves then how to raise children? Who is going to raise the children, government? Children is NOT about quantity but about quality. A lot of countries are trying to raise birth rate by trying to pressure women. Women should have the final say whether to give birth or not.
