It did happen. But it heavily depended on the bow. They discovered “receipts” from English nobles where the ordered several things including “Saracen bows”.

Khans used to wear 3 layers of armor. A gambeson, then chainmail, finally lamellar.

arrow trails probably be able to turn off. if you open your eyes you'll see that nobody gets drop kicked, they are jumping and thrusting the polearm from a height. the knight on the horse is probably the player character. don't know if know you but when your the character you can do and use anything you like.

It's not a knight who's firing, but the player, so that's normal. In Bannerlord, you could fire from horseback regardless of your armor.

technically some nights after 100years war in French ordonant regiments had to be mounted archers with a good quality of armor but in reality they mostly didn't use bows. so theoretically it is could be possible. but jumps before charging from infantry just looks horrible and not accurate...
