Scones Recipe 8 cups cake flour (±1 kg) 1 cup sugar 8 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 350g cold margarine 3 large eggs 2 cups buttermilk 1 tsp vanilla essence (optional) Extra milk for brushing 👩🏽‍🍳 Method Preheat oven to 200°C In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add cold margarine and rub in gently until it looks like fine breadcrumbs In another bowl whisk eggs, milk/buttermilk and vanilla together. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the liquid. Mix gently with a spoon until soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Dough must be soft and slightly sticky. Turn dough onto a floured surface and Knead very lightly Roll to 2–3 cm thickness, cut with a cookie cutter or glass Place scones on the tray brush tops with milk. Bake for 12–15 minutes until well risen and golden brown.#baking #bakingrecipe
