My theory is that both dam shin and shin sori body swapped when she had that accident as a young girl. Losing their prior memories as a result and then they lived each others lives thinking that its just their reality. Till they switch bodies again when shin sori was poisoned.

yes it's reincarnation, they fell in love as Kang damsin and Prince with a not good ending hee wating for him but he was d0ed, and then they reborn the same year 1996 and found eo again as Shinseori and Chasegye to live the life they couldn't back.She was Shinseori from the start but she had this accident more like a traumatic accident and her memories went off so she confused her past life with this life.Now after she remembers her past life she is more strong and she finally remembers who she is and who she was.

That’s right. It’s been shin seori the entire time. Here is my theory, it’s parallel lifes . They switched souls as kids in the accident so Shin Seori was trapped in Josean Era while Kang Da Shim came to the modern era , hence the personality switches. (Shin Seori could no longer act and Dan shin was bolder in Josean) Then at present time, when Shin Sheori in Josean is poisoned, they swap again and she returns to modern era where she rightfully belongs and Kang Da shim soul is returning to her body in Josean, guided by the star.
