Inspired in part by you I’m having an organization company coming. We had the consultation and are going ahead with the kitchen first. I have a question for you. What do you do about parts that need to be cleaned? Like pantry shelves. I’m really nervous and embarrassed about things like leaked honey that I just put a piece of plastic over when I realized it had happened. Should I clean all these sorts of things before they come?

I used more of the vertical space in my cabinets by lowering the shelves to the height of the items. Example: coffee cups do not need 12 inches of space! Lowering the shelves makes it easier to access my items (I’m short) and often times I can add more shelves which further helps keep items organized.

As a group, we have so much stuff! I’ve started telling my friends and family…no stuff, give gifts of service, (haircut, massage, nails, etc).

I would not put the lids on all of those containers for 2 reasons: 1. If there is any dampness mold will form 2. It takes up too much room to store them that way
