@macdetecting: When I dug my first Seated Libert Quarter in January, I said “that’s my find of the year”. Well now, there’s competition. Field of Dreams park strikes again! This was maybe 20 minutes after I dug a 1948 silver dime so my day was already made. Digging sound only today so all I knew was it was a deep high tone. This crusty green “coin” popped out from about 8” deep. I ended the dig thinking I dug a local merchant token. Huge shoutout to @The PNW Detectorist @Blue Detects and @🦋💫Dawn DIGZ💫🦋 for helping with the ID. Can’t call it a bucket lister when you never envisioned ever digging one. Epic day! That’s what this is all about. Literally saving history from the days of Lincoln. #metaldetecting #treasurehunting #xpdeus2 #civilwarhistory

heck yeah. nice find Mark

Steve Allen :

That's great that you ID'd it. As crazy as it sounds there were like 8,000 different varieties of Civil War tokens and these small merchant stores tokens are the most collectible. WTG Good For You 👍😎

amazing! I spent the rest of your live and then afterwards scouring the internet for answers. This was exactly what I told you I thought it would be as I had found the same thing but for Australia and New Zealand (understandably as that's where I'm located). I am so happy for you that you were able to ID it!
