Yeah I remember there would be one camcorder set up and they sold CD’s after church. Nobody had cell phones out recording their worship experience!

We’ve always been an “event culture” it’s just how it manifests today looks different from how it manifested back then. Both the traditional old school church & the modern day church do not necessarily look like the biblical church. Church from a biblical perspective looked more like gatherings of people in homes, courtyards, etc. (this was of course before the New Testament but same idea). I say that b/c I see so many comparisons between the “old school church” and today’s church when in reality both are doing the same thing in a different font loll. If the “old school church” had the technological advancement that we have today, many of them would look the same as the modern churches we see today.

You telling it right! But I can say that attend a church that still has pews, we still do congregational singing, and growing our own musicians. I’m thankful and grateful that I lead worship but I get to go IN🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’m glad that I just found me a traditional church where the choir still wears robes, the preacher preaches sound doctrine and the church is welcoming. Pleasant Grove Baptist Church-Marietta
