@homegrownflorida: The truth is, the garden is where I go when I’m happy... but it’s also the first place I turn when I’m sad, angry, frustrated, exhausted, disappointed, anxious, or insecure. Something about being outside helps me slow everything down in my brain. The weeds don’t care what happened today. The tomatoes still need watering. The fruit trees are still growing. And while I’m working, I can sort through my thoughts, process my feelings, and focus on something tangible that I can actually improve with my hands.
