idk, even if I defend my friend in the moment, I would still go and tell them what happened. I feel like if I didn't, it would be the same as keeping something from them. they get to know everything that I know about the situation. That might help them make informed decisions about their environment. I couldn't hold onto something that might affect them. but if you tell me not to do it, I will respect those boundaries.
