I mean, had they not found the wallet with his info, sure, keep the money but as soon as they found the wallet they should’ve returned it with all the money they found. It’s called integrity and a lot of people seem to be lacking it. It could still be a fun exciting memory without keeping the money and the kids would’ve learned a lesson on doing what’s right.

The wallet might have been too big for the stamp that was on it. Since there was no return address, they couldn't bill the sender for extra postage. Maybe it got stuck at the post office for all those years and they finally decided to send it through.
