A lot of Asian retreat into the emotional when confronted by something political and systemic. They think when discrimination or inequity becomes the conversation it’s a personal attack on them instead of an analysis on who has less/needs more. I’m an Asian immigrant and it’s hard not being resentful towards Asian Americans bc of how much privledge they expect to have compared to other immigrant groups and how much politics and world history they are willfully ignorant of. We need more cross cultural competency and cross cultural solidarity.
