I have a B&W hideaway hitch so I never take it out of the receiver and I’ve been using these for years to stop the rattle when I don’t have the trailer hooked up. But this also works exceptionally well with receiver racks for coolers and handicapped scooters because they aren’t heavy enough to stop the rattle.

That’s generally not what’s sliding , have you ever seen how a trailer hooks up? The trailer has to be able to move for you surge breaks , that’s what you’re hearing

What do you do whenever you go to change the hitch carry a ratchet driver with you all the time sounds a little aggravating to me. Poor design. I’m always changing out hitch.
