I'm sorry but Traveler feels more like an observer than MC, it's inconsisten. They react to events rather than actively pursuing their own goals, sometimes the Traveler is suspicious, blunt or emotionally affected other times they act like a generic helpful hero. They can be incredibly powerful in one scene and strangely passive in another 😭. What kind of person are they?? Also their emotional reactions feels muted, like for experiencing major events? can't see how those events reshape traveler, like where is the growth?

since this in an obvious punch at rover without actually mentioning them, im just gonna say theyre not what most people think. rover isnt some op mc that singlehandedly saves the day everytime, theyre just like caelus and aether, a supporting character but with a bigger input. most events, fights etc wouldnt have been possible without other characters even if rover is (sometimes) the one doing the final blow. even with the thing that rover is the only "savior" on Solaris, they still dont fit the description. bcs their job isnt to literally "save the world" its more to guide and aid its people in their fights, just like the Sentinels.

that's the reason I think no one understands the character of rover, everyone is saying he's just "aura farming" and basically doing everything when in truth it's literally the opposite, 1.0 jiyan was on leading 1.1 was jinshi arc she was the one saving entire region rover was only allowed that to happen 1.3 was schorekeeper 2.x was cantarela, carte, phrolova and at the end the people of rinascita once again rover did nothing there only enable the second awakening in 3.x arc it was aemeath luuke mornye and denia and this time rover was the one needing saving

other characters have their own development, spotlight is good but what about mc they should have development too. mc that you mentioned in msq it like 95/5 or 100/0 other characters and their own, over a year they not even developed or only a little bit, after all trauma they been through shouldn't they change? the good story/writing should be 50/50 or 60/40 not 95/5 and why ppl said hsr mc have great writing, they not even developed themselves even after amphoreus. mc is the main we view the world we expro they should be developing with us or if you don't understand the point between hoyo mc and kuro mc it ok bc you didn't notice that they have their own personality to be the one that can stand by their own feet when everyone and everything is doom. they from different verse the view they see are different too between small civilization facing god and strong groups(some of them is emanetor) facing strong opponent. hope you learn more before post bc it doesn't make any sense at all since they view and role to world are not the same if you read until the end thank🙏

Sorry,MC also should be capable and feels like a MC,not like a second camera man.Want to see the kind of story like you said?There is Kuro's another MC from PGR,the commandant.In PGR,the commandant is overpowered,strong,capable and also he is the focus on the quests,but also side characters aren't left out and they have their own moments,their own story.I am not sure if Wuwa will have this kind of story in future but,dude,there is better way to portray MC than what Genshin does.He is not even consistent,being shown like a capable person and then,in some quests,he just weak lol.

maybe but bc of that we still know nothing about the Traveler their past or anything and the Traveler still doenst have any major character developpement bc Hoyo focus way too much on side characters, its good for side characters to have their time to shine but then if the Mc stay in the shadow then its not a good thing

fr, I once pointed out how Chisa just gets completely sidelined and how her whole character ends with an optional one minute talk, despite how there was the whole buildup that she was gone for 20 years and all, and I had a bunch of people jump in saying how it wasn't important to the story, and how rover is the main character so obviously the story will revolve around him, but then, why even bother making other characters if they're just gonna stay underdeveloped because it's not something that involves rover. Everything that was interesting about Chisa got resolved off screen, she was gone for 20 years and we don't even see anything about it, it pisses me off
