@kigzagrolinks: The black coffee twig borer (BCTB) is the world's most devastating coffee insect pest. It is capable of causing yield loss of up 75% if it is not managed. Uganda is the most affected country globally. The pest was first noted in the country around 1993–2005 and has since spread widely, damaging more than 10% of Robusta coffee. The most hit Districts are Masaka, Mukono, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi and most districts in central Uganda. Farmers are advised to step up monitoring of their plantations because the insect damages more coffee plants with increased temperatures/omushana. Practice IPM and spray with very highly systemic insecticides if the pest pressure is too high. #Kigz AgroLinks +256770902310/+256781263659.#creatorsearchinsights #foryoupage #Viral #Coffee
